Membership


There are three levels of membership: Full, Partner & Junior

The benefits of full membership are:

  • Insurance for up to three hives (more hives can be added at a small extra cost). This includes cover against 'Public Liability' and bee diseases which result in bees and equipment being destroyed.
  • Discount on the cost of training activities run by the SBKA.
  • Access to expert training and advice at our branch apiary.
  • Free attendance at regular Branch Meetings as posted on our website.
  • Invaluable social and formal contact with other local beekeepers which will undoubtedly improve your beekeeping skills.
  • Membership of Gloucestershire Beekeepers Association (GBKA), which includes the GBKA newsletter.
  • Membership of the British Beekeepers' Association (BBKA), which includes the BBKA Monthly News.

Annual Fees:

Full: £35

Partner: £25

Reduced membership fees are available for the partners of full members.

Junior: £15

For young people under the age of 18 who have bees. It includes insurance for up to 3 hives.

Payment

Current fees can be viewed by clicking on the link below. Full membership subscriptions should be paid at the beginning of October.
